Hope you are enjoying your day! I finally sat down for a few minutes to do some posts here on the Blog. When I was at the Laconia Antiques Center the other day I saw this gorgeous bed and dresser. I just had to take a pic of it.
This is an old heater grate...I did it in a cool looking finish.

All Available at A Well Kept Secret in Kingston NH

Sweet Aqua Wash Stand (with cut out for the bowl) sold first morning it was in the shop at A WELL KEPT SECRET

This started out as a dull brown plastic frame with a 1970s floral print inside. It has been chicced up with some Sonora Rose paint and has been made over to a Gypsy Chic Chalkboard.

Fabulous Funky and French! That describes this pair of vinyl clad iron chairs. How cool and retro are they!? You can check out this pair at Just The Thing in down town Dover NH!

Again, too many days have gone by between postings! Not saying I lead a crazy busy interesting life, just sayin' I have been busy and while some people might think I am interesting I bet more lead toward crazy!
I've been lucky lately to go treasure hunting in some new places, which is always fun and makes the items seem even more special.
The CiderMill antiques shops down in Sterling MA is a great place to spend some time. Just be sure you do have a good amount of time to poke around.
I also got to meet two FaceBook friends, Steph and Barbie, who have a sweet space called Our Shabby Corner down in N Chelmsford.
This week I went for the first time to a large group shop up in Laconia NH that used to be the down town JJ Newberry's store. Cool building, stairs to the mezzanine & complete with the original lunch counter and swivel stools!
And I spent a day with THE SISTA hitting an indoors antiques flea market,  a shop up in Concord and a couple yard sales.

Here's some pics of some goodies, some projects, make overs from the last week or so.

A Well Kept Secret

This weekend was the Spring Open House at A Well Kept Secret. Hopefully lots of customers had an enjoyable visit & went home with some treasures.
Here I am doing a redo last Friday. I brought in several items that can be used as planters...the wooden tote, the aqua one, and some wire baskets. The chairs are still available (far as I know) but the aqua wash stand sold first thing.

New Shop Space

Yesterday I moved into a new space at A WELL KEPT SECRET. The shop has been in its current location for 9 years and has a great following. If you are on their emailing blastt (I hear about 800 are on that list!) you will get notifications of upcoming sales events. Also you can visit their page on FaceBook.

I like my new space, it seems to be just the right size, big enough for furniture pieces but easy to handle & very accessible for customers.
I already got a call that the off white distressed bureau has been sold. I'll be hauling down some more vintage treasures tomorrow.
(thanks to Deb Millette for the pic, shows the space much better than the ones I took! LOL)

HERE AND THERE

Well I have an unexpected move in the works! I am sad to say the owners of DOMAIN in Northwood NH have decided to close...which means the clearing out of so many treasures in that 11 room house!
Of course there are deals to be had, so if you are in this area please pay us a visit very soon.

I am going today to choose a new space at a shop I sold out of many years ago. Though it wasn't in the plan, I am excited about this move.

It's a sunny day in New Hampsha!

And I am going to do a bit of treasure hunting with my Sista today!

I went to a great all day auction on Wednesday. There was an almost never ending supply of other people's good old stuff at this particular auction, it started in the morning & I didn't check out til 7 pm!
Here's a few goodies I acquired.

Sweet Shabby Sewing Stand

Pair of Black Cat Decanters at Domain for $20

Odds n Ends Red Bakelite Stainless Find it at Domain in Northwood NH

Country Chic Wash Stand, hole for bowl! It is available for $80 at Just The Thing! Dover NH

Bent Brothers Cherry Console...pondering what to do with it, as the top has sun damage, discoloration to the wood.

This is still on my porch....it just might stay there!

Lots, I mean lots, of Sheet Music, 1920-30s. Fabulous for crafts, projects, what have you...$1 each, go for it!

Auburn Rubber Truck, similar to the one I *beat up* a little boy for back in 1955....fantastic 1920s cast iron green bus, and watching over is an antique Dismal Desmond Dog, whom musty have had hip surgery many years back because I can see stitches & he sits funny!

Several great old children's books

My shop at DOMAIN Route 4 Northwood NH

I am still filling my room at DOMAIN. There's something for everyone...rusty stuff and country primitives, lots of pretties, vintage clothing, linens and textiles, cute vintage children's items, a church pew, several tables, cabinet, bureau, and a couple stools. A great old chippy Christian door, as well as some shutters.
