It's a sunny day in New Hampsha!

And I am going to do a bit of treasure hunting with my Sista today!

I went to a great all day auction on Wednesday. There was an almost never ending supply of other people's good old stuff at this particular auction, it started in the morning & I didn't check out til 7 pm!
Here's a few goodies I acquired.

Lots, I mean lots, of Sheet Music, 1920-30s. Fabulous for crafts, projects, what have you...$1 each, go for it!

Auburn Rubber Truck, similar to the one I *beat up* a little boy for back in 1955....fantastic 1920s cast iron green bus, and watching over is an antique Dismal Desmond Dog, whom musty have had hip surgery many years back because I can see stitches & he sits funny!

My shop at DOMAIN Route 4 Northwood NH

I am still filling my room at DOMAIN. There's something for everyone...rusty stuff and country primitives, lots of pretties, vintage clothing, linens and textiles, cute vintage children's items, a church pew, several tables, cabinet, bureau, and a couple stools. A great old chippy Christian door, as well as some shutters.

I got this nice tiered end table and this fabulous 2 drawer chest yesterday.
Today at the antiques flea market I got this beautifully detailed 1920s one drawer stand.
All will be painted tomorrow.

She was dark, damaged, warped, now she is in the pink!

Here's the top piece.

And the bottom piece, broken and warped door.

The back was replaced, lined with floral and script design wall covering. The door couldn't be saved so she got a pretty shabby skirt instead.

The room is coming together at Domain. Here's a few pics I took the other day after a redo.

I painted a desk today

I pondered what to do with this desk for days. The drop front panel was veneer & had issues on both sides. I really wanted to keep the closed front. I had an idea I could strip &/or sand down the damaged veneer then adhere a piece of embossed wall covering. (heavy and paintable, looks like tin tiles) But...it didn't turn out that way.

I had a can of RittenHouse Blue historical paint, which was looking a gray slate blue/green & this piece of furniture said "no way, looks too close to avocado to me!"
So now she is open and showing off her cubbies, shabbily pretty, all painted up in French County Blue, edges sanded & waxed all over. Just waiting on some glass knobs which I plan to get tomorrow.

Still trying to fill 'er up!

I brought some more items into my shop at Domain Gallery In Northwood NH.
It is such a great room and I will eventually get it tweaked and filled up and looking cozy and inviting. I hope!

I am very happy to say I will be moving into my own room at DOMAIN Gallery up in Northwood NH.
This has made for a crazy busy & exciting couple of days. Usually when I am looking for a shop space I have it planned, with lots of inventory on hand. But this was an offer I couldn't refuse.
The room is cozy & welcoming. I will get some pics tomorrow after I get it set up for the Blog & L Kells Antiques FaceBook page.
