Lovely inscription on very old bible I got in a lot of books.
The Bible was given to Anna Chase from her Aunt Marita & Uncle Thomas on Christmas 1892.

Awh I love this, front page inscription of an old (1909) ledger type book filled with handwritten recipes.

Newmarket NH

Today started out absolutely miserable, dark & rainy & not a day you wanted to be out & about.
But I did get over to the Dover Antiques Flea Market.
Then surprise! The weather cleared & for awhile it was just lovely out. I was able to go for a quick walk in Newmarket & took a couple pics down at the waterfront park area.
Sooo pretty, flowers & foliage were both glowing in the sun & the river was beautiful & calm.

Mirror, Mirror...

I forgot to post the pic
of these three mirrors. I got them when we went to Brimfield. They are shabbilicious, 2 in pink, one in cream. Very old, ornate & chippy frames that the dealer put new mirrors in.

Ziggy says: "There's a chill in the air! Mum gave me a nice warm throw to snuggle in. ..yawn...I'm getting kinda sleepy."

October

The month of October came in feeling...just like October! We had a gorgeous September so we can't complain.
Now I start with my love/hate relationship with Fall. Love the crisp air, the beautiful foliage & all the yummy smells & cozy home decor that comes with the season. But hate that the motorhome camping & motorcycle season is winding down & that gray raw November is right around the corner.

Tomorrow, Saturday Oct 3 is the 25th annual Apple Harvest Day in downtown Dover. Grab an umbrella & come on down. (yes the forecast is rain)

Just The Thing is right in the hub & the shop will be a happenin' place to be! Many items are marked down on a special sale just for the weekend. Wicked deals like you can't believe!

Gorgeous Garden Statuary Display at the Brimfield Show

So beautiful! This was a display that I returned to twice. It was magical!

Shabby-Licious!

Look at this display at a booth at Brimfield. How cute is this bureau with the lil shelf atop it filled with goodies.
Doesn't this make you want to just...sigh...??!!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Just too pretty!
Another wonderfully inviting booth!

What do these three things have in common?

A Gargoyle that know the world's secrets, a vintage bicycle & a cool Vespa with a side car....what do they have in common?

They were all looking for new homes at the Brimfield Antiques Fair!

A Day at Brimfield Antiques Show

Just a sampling of some of the wonderful country pieces at the show.
A country bench a mile long!
A cupboard with old dry chippy paint, what character!
Nice display featuring an old wooden horse.

Gargoyle Fountain at Brimfield

Bob really like the large gargoyle fountain. I was just amazed at how big & heavy all the garden statuary was & wondered how in the world they got it unloaded & set up! It was a gorgeous display & the pics I took did not show how incredible the area was.

Brimfield Antiques Show

We made the trip to Brimfield on Saturday! Started out at 6 am in the motorhome, in the rain. But luckily the weather improved mid morning. Here I am amid way too many iron planters & garden arbors.
