Fav recent find: This old jelly cupboard had yucky battleship gray paint on it when I bought it. Looks like it may have started out in a kitchen or dining room, back in the day, & had a nice stain on it. But Mama probably got a house with "real" kitchen cabinets in the 40s so the cupboard was relagated to the workshop where Papa decided a coat of dull gray would be perfect & he could store all his manly stuff in it.
I sanded & primed it, painted it cream, sanded & scuffed some more, & did a dry brush of sage over it. A bit more sanding too to give it a well worn & well loved appeal. Now it has a shabby country look & makes for great storage or display.

More stuff
Ok Everyone! Lookie here, check out some pics of a few items I have for sale in a shop I rent out of OLDE TOWNE HALL ANTIQUES in Stratham NH.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the pink shelf (given to me by a friend to use for display) that goes so well with the old potting style bench/table. That color pink is almost an exact match, how could that happen?
See the old flour sifters? Does anyone still use them for sifting flour? I do love the look & durabilty of the old enamelware, specially that swirl pattern!
The framed prints aren't old but have a wonderful cottage-y look to them.
